Identification Points
1. Outer epidermis-stratified squamous
epithelium with thin keratin layer.
2. Inner dermis-connective tissue with
hair follicles, sebaceous glands, arrector
pili muscle and sections of sweat glands seen.
3. Stratum corneum contains closely
packed squames of keratin.
Thick Skin
Identification Points
1. Outer epidermis-stratified squamous epithelium
with thick keratin layer.
2. Inner dermis-connective tissue with sections of
sweat glands and their ducts seen.
3. No hair follicles/sebaceous glands seen.
